WHO WE ARE
Chad Smith has been creating custom structural spaces with integrity and passion for nearly 25 years. He spent 8 years running his own furniture design and build business, another 10 years working with Blue Sky Design and the rest of his working years as a versatile and well respected contractor in Vancouver and now building in the Comox Valley. Given the range of his skills and interests within various building disciplines micro homes and quality additions are a natural fit for this modern craftsman. On any given day Chad can be found doing finishing carpentry, pouring concrete, or timber framing and enjoying every stage of his building projects.
Chad’s first micro home was built for his own family to reside in and he takes the same care and diligence with all his projects. Ever conscious of his impact on the world around him Chad lives and works by active, caring, and honest principles. Building impeccable tiny homes and spaces with a greener footprint not only fits with his code of conduct but also his goal to take pride and care in everything he builds.
Structural Spaces builds micro homes on wheels also known as caravans. A caravan is a self-contained space that combines the comfort, craftsmanship and permanence of a cabin with the portability of a mobile home.
This micro home, built in 2005, now resides at Middle Mountain Mead Farm on Hornby Island, BC.
Structural Spaces can build you a micro home customized to your needs. Contact Chad for pricing and design ideas and start building your home.
