Chad Smith started his career working on Hornby Island for Blue Sky Design which is a design and build company.
He also spent several years running his own furniture design and build company.
He then went on to work for many years as a versatile, and well respected contractor builder in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Chad is now enjoying living and building back in the area he grew up in: this beautiful Comox Valley.
Tiny HOMES
Structural Spaces builds micro homes on wheels also known as caravans, or tiny homes. A tiny home is a self-contained space that combines the comfort, craftsmanship and permanence of a cabin with the portability of a mobile home.
This tiny home, built in 2015 was an inspired build after spotting a beautiful curved cedar that was being removed from a property on Hornby Island. After acquiring this tree, he Alaskan saw-milled it and it became the central feature of this custom built home.
